A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council will initially move into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. c.25, Section 239(k) to receive a confidential update from staff regarding ongoing AECL negotiations.
Following the closed portion of the meeting, Council will reconvene in open session at approximately 5:00 p.m. where members of Council will provide feedback to the Initial Project Description on OPG’s proposed New Nuclear at Wesleyville project.
This portion of the meeting is open to the public and residents are welcome to attend in-person, however, there will not be public participation through this Special Council meeting. The Special Council meeting will be livestreamed on the municipal YouTube channel.
