A Special Council Workshop Session has been scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
In accordance with Council Resolution 48-2026, which directed that discussions regarding Portfolio Chairs be referred to a future Council Workshop during the current term of Council, Members of Council will participate in a consultant-facilitated workshop. The workshop will also include discussion of the role of the Deputy Mayor.
The intent is to facilitate collaborative discussion, analysis, and information sharing regarding governance-related roles and responsibilities.
This meeting will be held in a Council Workshop format in accordance with Section 22 of the Procedural By-law. Workshops are intended to provide Members of Council with information, training, or an opportunity for informal discussion. No decisions are made during Workshops.
The meeting is open to the public and residents are welcome to attend in person. However, there will be no public participation component as part of the Workshop. Due to the informal and interactive nature of Workshops, this session will not be livestreamed on the municipal YouTube channel.
