Special Council Meeting – May 5, 2026
A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
During this meeting, Council members will receive:
- A Staff Report regarding a Temporary Use By-law Extension for 196 Toronto Road and 2267 Baulch Road
- Staff Reports regarding the Municipality of Port Hope’s response to Ontario Power Generation’s response to Impact Assessment Agency of Canada’s (IAAC) Summary of Issues, as well as the Municipality of Port Hope’s response to IAAC’s Public Engagement Plan and Draft Integrated Tailored Impact Statement Guidelines. Once Council considers these reports, Staff will receive Council members’ feedback and use it to prepare a submission to IAAC before the submission deadline
- A Presentation by Scott Cameron, General Manager, Historic Waste Program Management Office, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) regarding the Community Advisory Committee (CAC).
