Council Workshop
A Special Council Workshop Session has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room, Jack Burger Sports Complex, 60 Highland Drive, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council members will participate in a Council workshop session with representatives from Strategy Corp regarding the development of a 2025-2028 strategic plan for the Municipality of Port Hope.
This workshop is designed to facilitate a collaborative discussion and analysis of the final draft of the municipal Strategic Plan which includes senior leadership's contributions. The workshop will work towards validating the final draft strategic plan framework including the strategic initiatives, and the mission, vision and values to ensure that the process is thorough and inclusive.
This Meeting will be held in a Council Workshop format, in accordance with Section 22 of the Procedural By-law. Workshops are intended to provide Members of Council with information, training, or an opportunity for discussion. No decisions are made during Workshops.
The meeting is open to the public and residents are welcome to attend in person, however, there will not be public participation through this Workshop. Due to the informal and interactive nature of Workshops, this session will not be livestreamed on the municipal YouTube channel.
Special Council Meeting
Following the workshop, Council will convene a Closed Session in the Committee Room at Town Hall at 5:00 p.m. in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001 S.O., c.25 in order to address a matter pertaining to personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees – Section 239(2)(b); a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board – Section 239(2)(c) and advice that is subject to solicitor/client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Section 239(2)(f) - (OLT-23-000360 - 3852 Ganaraska Rd).
