Special Meeting for Walton Street Reconstruction Project – Phase 2 Design
Residents are advised that a Special Meeting of the Works and Engineering Committee will be held virtually on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to allow Members of Council to review and consider proposed designs for Phase 2 of the Walton Street Reconstruction project (Pine St. to Mill Street).
During the meeting, the consultant will present proposed design options to be considered and share feedback on the proposed options received to date.
The proposed designs have been developed with support from the feedback provided by residents, business owners, and municipal stakeholders collected during the community engagement phases of the project.
At the meeting, the Works and Engineering Committee will select a preferred design for multiple key elements of the project (bump outs, turning lanes, streetscape elements, etc.) and ultimately make recommendations to Council to be considered for final approval at their regular meeting on July 5.
An agenda for the meeting, with a Zoom link to view and participate in the meeting, will be posted on the municipal website on Friday, June 17. The meeting will be held electronically and residents can participate online or by telephone.
