Temporary Water Service Outage – Downtown-West Area
As part of the ongoing Walton Street Reconstruction Project, a scheduled water shut off will take place on Tuesday, July 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to facilitate a critical connection between the new and existing watermains.
This work is a key step toward completing the watermain upgrade and will allow for safety testing and, ultimately, property connections to the new system.
Affected Area
Properties located west of the Walton and Pine Streets intersection to Thomas Street.
Crews will be working to finalize infrastructure that supports long-term service improvements. In advance of this work, all impacted properties have received hand-delivered notices.
With warm temperatures expected, residents and businesses are encouraged to store extra water in advance to help keep households, staff, and pets comfortable throughout the shut-off period.
In Case of Inclement Weather
Work may be rescheduled to Wednesday, July 16, during the same hours.
