Your Voice, Your Choice. Last Four Days to Vote in Port Hope
As the final weekend of voting approaches, residents are reminded that there is still time to learn about the candidates and cast your ballot in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
Over the last several months, the Municipality’s Election Team has been dedicated to delivering an extensive election awareness campaign to help residents understand when and how to vote, where to find candidate information, and how to access voting assistance.
Election outreach has included:

- A Meet the Candidates webpage to help voters learn about the candidates
- Social media awareness campaigns
- Advertised in the local newspaper and on local radio
- Installed banners, billboards, lawn signs, TV screen signage, and posters at our facilities throughout the municipality and, with the support of our industry partners, in our local businesses
- Organized a direct mailing through property tax bills
- Election information flyers distributed to the local schools
- Election postcards distributed at our facilities and at the Farmers’ Market and Transfer Station
- Election-branded clothing worn by front-line staff
- Outreach to local retirement homes and long-term care facilities to ensure residents are on the Voters’ List and are able to access voting

Now, it is up to you, our voters. Help spread the word during this final weekend of voting: Your voice, Your choice, Port Hope.
