Training Exercise and Infrastructure Upgrade to Fire Hydrants on Highland Drive

Staff have identified, through routine fire hydrant testing, that an upgrade to infrastructure supplying water to select fire hydrants on Highland Drive must be completed. This upgrade work must be done promptly to ensure there is adequate water pressure for fire suppression to structures in the area, particularly to the Jack Burger Sports Complex (JBSC). Hydrants along Highland Drive, east of the JBSC are not affected as services are supplied from watermains from Cavan Street.

Residents are advised that a Special Meeting of Council will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. for Council to consider the 2024 Community Grant submissions.
Council at their regular Council meeting held on July 4, 2023 passed Resolution 38/2023 where Council reassumed the responsibility of reviewing and approving Community Grants.

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2023, in observance of Remembrance Day. The Hope Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, November 11. The Mary J. Benson branch of the Library will be on reduced hours from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
