A reminder to residents that some municipal buildings will be closed on Friday, September 29, 2023 in observance of the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30).
The following buildings and services will be closed on Friday, September 29, 2023:
- Town Hall
- Fire Administration Office
- Development Team Office
- Water Treatment Plant
- Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Joint Operation Centre
- Rural Works Yard
The following buildings and services will remain open for service, rentals and scheduled programs:
- Town Park Recreation Centre
- Jack Burger Sports Complex
- Crossing Guards
- Municipal Transit
- Hope Transfer Station
- Port Hope Public Library
For urgent services related to water or roads, call 905-885-2431 and press * to reach our after-hours emergency line.
The Port Hope Public Library branches will be closed on Saturday, September 30 to observe the day.
