Community Engagement Opportunity for 41 Young Street

The Municipality of Port Hope is inviting residents to learn more about the future of the municipally owned property located at 41 Young Street and to take part in the community engagement process.
The property is currently designated as parkland in the Official Plan and zoned as ‘Open Space’. Council has identified the need to increase affordable housing options in Port Hope and has directed staff to explore whether this site could contribute to meeting that need.

Municipal Election Nomination Period Now Open

The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is now open.
Candidate Information Packages are available at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
To qualify as a candidate, you must be:
- A Canadian citizen;
- At least 18 years old;
- A resident in the Municipality of Port Hope, or;
- A non-resident of the Municipality of Port Hope and you or your spouse own or rent property in the municipality;
