Maintenance on Larose Crescent

Due to current road conditions, approximately 200 metres of the hard top road surface on Larose Crescent will be removed and put back to gravel. The work will take place from the asphalt at Mill Street, along the easterly portion of Larose Crescent for approximately 200 metres. The road surface will be replaced during the annual road resurfacing program this year.
Access to the road will not be impacted.

Tax Due Date - April 28

Interim tax bills were mailed February 2, 2021. The second installment of the interim tax bill is due April 28, 2021.
Payments can be made several ways:
- in-person at your bank (where possible and in accordance with the current COVID-19 measures)
- by telephone or online banking through your bank
- by mail with a cheque to 56 Queen Street Port Hope, Ontario L1A 3Z9
- by cheque at the drop-box mail slot located on the front door of the Town Hall - 56 Queen Street

I appreciate the input that residents have provided regarding the Ganny Weekend promotion and I would like to address some of those concerns. I would also like to assure everyone that our first priority is the health and safety of all our residents.
To be clear, there was not, nor was there ever, an ‘event’ organized or supported by the Municipality. We are not inviting tourists to our community and we are not encouraging people to gather in groups while the pandemic remains a grave concern.

On Thursday, April 1, 2021, the Provincial government announced that it is imposing an “Emergency Brake” across Ontario beginning Saturday, April 3, 2021 as a result of the increase in COVID-19 infections provincially and to prevent the further spread of the virus.
