Temporary Road Closure - Victoria Street South

Residents are advised of the following temporary road and lane closures for a sanitary sewer installation on Tuesday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 17, 2020:
- Victoria Street South from Ridout Street to Sullivan Street
- The right-hand turning lane from Toronto Road onto Ridout Street
- The traffic lanes will be shifted slightly on Ridout Street and Toronto Road and the traffic lights will be off during the closures.

The Municipality of Port Hope is saddened to learn of the passing of Ms. Elizabeth (Betty) Collins, former Mayor of the Town of Port Hope, who died on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in her 89th year.
Ms. Collins blazed a historic trail for women in politics in this community. First elected as a Councillor in 1988, she was acclaimed Reeve in 1991 and, soon thereafter, became the first female Mayor of the Town of Port Hope in 1993.
