Special Council Meeting – November 5, 2024

Residents are advised that a Special Meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.

As part of Council’s ongoing professional development, and following the recent By-election and swearing in of a new member of Council, mid-term training on the Roles and Responsibilities of Council and Staff and other related matters is being provided to Council. November 1 to 7 is Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week and Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services is reminding residents to check and test their home Carbon Monoxide alarms

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odourless, tasteless, and invisible gas that can be deadly if inhaled. Exposure to CO can cause flu-like symptoms such as headaches, nausea, dizziness, burning eyes, confusion, drowsiness, or loss of consciousness. Special Council Meeting – October 29, 2024

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.

During the open portion of the meeting (prior to the commencement of the Closed Session) the Mayor may provide an update on various planning matters.

Winter Recreation and Aquatics Registration

Registration for Aquatics opens on Monday, October 28, at 7:00 a.m. and registration for recreation and fitness programs opens on Tuesday, October 29, at 8:00 a.m. You can register:

1. Online – It’s convenient and fast and you can avoid the lineups. 
2. In-person – We have staggered registration dates for a smoother registration process.
