Fall Hydrant Flushing Program

Residents are advised that Municipal staff will be flushing the fire hydrants as part of a standard maintenance program. Residents are asked to refrain from doing laundry on the following dates and times, as water may be at lower pressure than normal and rust may occur:
Dates: October 3 to November 11, 2022 - Weekdays (Monday to Friday)
West Side of Ganaraska River - Mornings - 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
East Side of Ganaraska River - Afternoons - 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Public engagement is now underway for the upcoming Economic Development Strategic Plan. This plan will provide guidance to retain and attract new investment, job creation, and wealth generation in Port Hope over the next five to 10 years. The Municipality is offering the opportunity for residents, entrepreneurs, etc. to engage and offer their insight into the development of this strategic plan.

Walton Street Update

Phase 1 of the Walton Street reconstruction continues. Residents are advised of the following impacts and updates as the project progresses:
- The intersection of Pine Street and Walton Street will be closed on Thursday, September 22 until the completion of the project.
- Due to the intersection closure, the detour route has been changed. Please follow the detour routes marked on the roadways (Bramley Street South to Dorset Street West to Queen Street).
