Fees & Charges


The Municipal Act R.S.O. 1990, c.M45 allows a municipality or local board to pass a By-law imposing fees or charges for services or activities provided, or done by, or on behalf of it, and for the use of its property.

2020 Fees and Charges

Council at their regular Council meeting held on Tuesday April 21, 2020 authorized with Resolution 26/2020 that an exemption be made to the Municipality's Prescribed Fees and Charges By-law 81/2019, to suspend the Transit Fees located in Schedule B, and the Parking Meter Fees located in Schedule D, until the Provincial Declaration of Emergency is lifted or Council provides direction to begin imposing the fees again as normal operations are phased-in. 

On Tuesday December 17, 2019 Council approved the Municipality's Fees and Charges By-law 81-2019 and schedules to be effective January 1, 2020.

Posted below is the By-law 81-2019 in which outlines the 2020 Fee and Charges for the Municipality of Port Hope. The following are links to the schedules outlining the fees for each service area as approved in the By-law.
