Update: Wednesday, January 28, 2026 The Significant Weather Event Declaration has been lifted. Standard timelines for road and sidewalk winter maintenance resumes as usual.

Municipal Facility Closures - January 15

Please be advised that due to significant weather conditions municipal facilities will be closed as of 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026. These facilities include:

• Town Hall
• Development Team Office (5 Mill Street South)
• Port Hope Public Library
• Jack Burger Sports Complex
• Town Park Recreation Centre
• Fire Administration Office
• Transit Services

Due to the persistent snow conditions, municipal parking lots, sidewalks and emergency exits may not be able to be maintained to regular standards....

Important Transit Alert

Update 9:00 a.m.: Transit Services are no longer running due to weather and road conditions. This will be reassessed this afternoon. Stay tuned for updates.  Transit service is currently running; however, riders should expect delays due to the weather conditions. Please note that Bus Stops A23, A25, A26, and A27 are temporarily out of service. We’ll continue to share updates as they become available. Stay safe and thank you for your patience. 2026-01-15

Temporary Transit Service Outage - Cobourg Shuttle

Update 12/5/25: The mechanical issue has been resolved and Cobourg service will resume Saturday, December 6 at 9:00 a.m.

The Cobourg Express Shuttle is currently out of service due to a mechanical issue. At this time, we do not have a timeline for when service will resume. In the meantime, the ROLLS van will provide temporary transportation, where possible.
