Arts Festival Road Closure - August 10

A reminder that the Port Hope Arts Festival is this Saturday, August 10, throughout Downtown. Residents are advised of the following impacts to accommodate this year’s festival:
Road ClosuresAugusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street) will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate the outdoor vendor market.
Parking Lot ClosuresThe parking lot at Town Hall will also be closed to accommodate the Port Hope Farmers Market.

Civic Holiday Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings will be closed and transit service will operate on a reduced schedule (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) on Monday, August 5, 2024 for the Civic Holiday. Transit and municipal staff services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Municipal recreation facilities will be open at regular hours on the holiday.

Highland Drive Watermain Work - July 2 to 4

Update: 7/3/24 - The contracted paving company encountered unexpected delays today (July 3). As a result, this closure has been extended. The work initially scheduled for July 4 will now take place on Friday, July 5.
The Highland Drive watermain upgrade was completed several weeks ago. As previously communicated in a public notice, the final steps to finalize the project are scheduled for next week and will require the following road closures:

Heroes Highway Ride and Rally Road Closures

Residents are advised that the Heroes Highway Ride and Rally will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The motorcycle procession is anticipated to arrive in Port Hope between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. The public can expect traffic delays as the procession travels down Ontario Street into the Downtown to park. Motorcycles will park on Queen Street, with entertainment, food service and vendors set up in Memorial Park.
