Overnight Snow Removal

Residents and business owners are advised that Municipal road crews will be operating in the downtown core on Tuesday, January 21 to remove snow in the Heritage Business Improvement Area (HBIA) overnight and into the morning of Wednesday, January 22. This timeline has been identified to gain full access of the roadways while vehicles are off of the road, traffic is light, and the equipment can move freely to access the areas that require snow removal.

Site Alteration and Fill By-law Amendment

Residents are advised of the following amendments to the Site Alteration and Fill By-law No. 47/2012, as amended:
- Limit the amount of topsoil that can be brought onto an agricultural property without a permit to a maximum of 100 cubic meters
The Port Hope Municipal Council will consider this amendment at the Council meeting on February 4, 2020.

Residents are advised that Northumberland County is seeking public input to help inform a high-level business case for GO Transit expansion to the community, which will be presented to Metrolinx. The business case will highlight the local need, interest and opportunity for increased transit options within Northumberland County and connecting to neighbouring regional transit systems.
