Recreation Facilities Close Early - February 16, 2025

Residents are advised that recreation facilities will close early today (Sunday, February 16) due to inclement weather. All programs and rentals are cancelled as of 3:00 p.m. at the Town Park Recreation Centre and as of 5:00 p.m. at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.
Family Day activities on Monday, February 17, will proceed as planned at both locations. For details, visit our Seasonal Activities webpage.
Family Day Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings will be closed and transit service unavailable on Monday, February 17, 2025, for the Family Day holiday. Municipal recreation facilities will remain open for the day.
The Port Hope Public Library branches and the Hope Transfer Station will also be closed on February 17.
All the above municipal services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

The Municipality of Port Hope is advising all residents to prepare for a Significant Snowfall Warning issued by the Government of Canada. The following details outline what to expect and how to stay safe:
Weather Overview and Timing- Beginning this evening (February 12) and ending Thursday (February 13) afternoon. The heaviest snow is expected to fall overnight and into Thursday morning.

The Municipality of Port Hope marked the start of Black History Month today with a ceremonial Pan-African flag raising at Town Hall, joined by members of Council, municipal staff, and community residents.
