Temporary Closure of the Lake Street Parking Lot

Residents are advised that the parking lot and the Waterfront Trail trailhead on Lake Street, will be closed from December 14 to 22, weather permitting. This closure is to prepare the area around the Chemtron Lagoon site, which is being remediated as part of the Port Hope Area Initiative.

At their meeting on December 6, 2022, Council for the Municipality of Port Hope authorized a By-law to enter into an agreement with Northumberland County to carry out plumbing inspections in the Municipality of Port Hope.

Brief Closure of Municipal Administrative Buildings

Residents are advised that municipal administrative buildings will be closed for a brief period on Thursday, December 8, 2022 for a corporate event. Buildings will close at 11:45 a.m. and reopen at 1:15 p.m. Programming at the Jack Burger Sport Complex is not affected by this closure.
