Water Infrastructure Maintenance

As a result of routine water infrastructure maintenance today, residents with properties on the following streets may notice rust-coloured water when turning on the taps this afternoon / evening:
- Victoria Street S.
- Bramley Street S.
- Strachan Street
- Sherbourne Street
- Durham Street
- Trafalgar Street
The water is safe for use. Residents can flush a cold water tap for five to seven minutes to clear the rust-colour.

Special Meeting for Walton Street Reconstruction Project – Phase 2 Design

Residents are advised that a Special Meeting of the Works and Engineering Committee will be held virtually on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to allow Members of Council to review and consider proposed designs for Phase 2 of the Walton Street Reconstruction project (Pine St. to Mill Street).

Residents are advised that our e-billing services are now available for tax and water/wastewater accounts. An e-bill includes the same information as a paper bill, and it is delivered directly to your email inbox. You will receive your e-bill quicker than if sent by mail and you are reducing paper waste in our community. If you choose, you have the option to print the bill or save it digitally for your records.

Rose Glen Road Reconstruction Begins June 20

Residents are advised that the Rose Glen Road Reconstruction project will begin on Monday, June 20, 2022, and is scheduled to last approximately five months. This project has long been a request advocated by many residents over time. The work includes new traffic signals at Croft Street and Rose Glen Road, a multi-use path to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians along the west/south side, and a sidewalk for pedestrians along the east/north side of the road.
