The Municipality of Port Hope, in partnership with community organizations and businesses across the community, is thrilled to launch its first ever Spooky Season. Community Open House – Learn About Potential Housing Changes

Residents are invited to join staff at a community open house to learn about and provide feedback before a Zoning By-law Amendment is applied for, and considered formally, in a Statutory Public Meeting. This amendment will focus on updating the rules around Additional Residential Units (ARUs) and Housing definitions. The open house will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Jack Burger Sports Complex Community Room (60 Highland Drive).

The annual Port Hope Fair is back from September 11 to 14, 2025. Residents are reminded of the following impacts:
Road ClosuresMcCaul Street will be closed east of Deblaquire Street.
Parking restrictionsTo alleviate traffic congestion and ensure emergency vehicle access to the fair grounds and surrounding neighbourhood, there will be no parking from September 11 at 8:00 a.m. to September 14 at 5:00 p.m. on the following streets:

Temporary Transit Service Outage - Cobourg Shuttle

Update 9/9/25 2:30 p.m.: The Cobourg Express Shuttle will resume service at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve this issue.
The Cobourg Express Shuttle is temporarily out of service due to a mechanical issue. At this time, we do not have a timeline for when service will resume.
